9 months

I just noticed that I didn’t enter anything for the 8th month. Things are a bit of a blur these days. I guess because I think of Sheila constantly the days just run together. Everyday seems like “the day.”

And this month, June, is especially difficult because we would have celebrated our second wedding anniversary next Tuesday, the 22nd. So it’s a bit of a double whammy.

I thought of taking the day off, but I already wallow in the pain of her absence, so whether I’m at work, or home,  it won’t make a difference.

The planning for the tennis tournament is coming along. Much more difficult that I expected to get the tennis community behind it. Very challenging just to get the word out so players can sign-up.

Saturday the volunteers that can make it are coming to the house for the first time to discuss the event and what needs to be done in the remaining months. September 18th will be here before I know it.

I miss you so much, Sheila. I love you….

  1. Ken, good to hear that the tennis event is progressing, its mighty difficult to get so many parts meshing together. This first one will be a bear but a great learning experience that will make the ones in the following years much easier. I have always admired your leadership and coordinating skills. The event will be special, one that Sheila would have loved.
Thinking about you during this special month.

  2. Thanks, as always, Al. And I’ll be thinking about you a lot over the next week and hoping for the very best outcome for you. You’re a strong man, and I know you will prevail. Talk with you next week…
